I had been wanting a new dining table for the longest time, and every-time I would search for one I always felt they was way to much for how I wanted it to look, I wanted something unique.
So while searching I found a table I liked a lot, and started to think, could I build this? and then set time to give it a go, figured worst case I lose a lot of time and some money.
First was coming up with how the top would be and the legs attached.
Then I had to figure out the base size and height to the top.
Got the build going, using 2x4's and some long carriage bolts to keep it all in place.
Okay so after I got that completed and I felt comfortable I started to work on the top, I put one sheet of MDF for the top then, started to lay the pieces down that will make the top up.
You cannot see here and I foolishly didn't take any photos, but the side pieces are actually routed just inside so the top actually goes into it to that it has a nice tight fit and no gaps.
